Toshihiko Mitsunaga
Toshihiko Mitsunaga was born in 1945, Yamaguchi ( Japan ). At the age of 25, he gratuaded from Tohogakuen Univerity, specialized in violin, viola and conducting.
In 1972, Toshihiko applied at the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra as a violist and was hired right away. He played here for two years and after that moved on to The Residence Orchestra where he played as a violist for a couple of years as well.
In 1983 he returned to Yamaguchi (Japan) where he started working as a violin teacher.
In 1984, Toshihiko establishes the amateur orchestra: Primavera Ensemble. The members of the orchestra consist out of housewife’s, teachers, government employees etc. Once a year, Toshihiko organizes a concert with his orchestra.
In 1988, Toshihiko and his orchestra win a price from the Yamaguchi province.
In 2011, again Toshihiko wins an award from the Yamaguchi province.
Today, the orchestra consists out of 20 men and women and will perform its 34th concert. The orchestra will play music of among others; Vivaldi, Mozart, Mendelssohn, Tsjaikovski, Back and Händel.
